Blakesley Hall (May 2009) |
|
|
Early in May 2009, the Guild paid its second visit to Blakesley Hall, a late Tudor house in the Birmingham district of Yardley. This fine timber-framed house is in the care of Birmingham City Council and benefits from free entry and excellent visitor facilities. It is furnished in late 17th century style but many of the pieces are of a very conservative traditional design and eminently suitable for the 1630s period portrayed by the Guild. Here is a selection of photos taken at the event by Guild members. Hover your mouse over any of the thumbnail images to view the larger picture. These, and more, can also be viewed in our image galleries.
